چکیده
Resonant inelastic X-ray scattering (RIXS) detects various types of high- and low-energy elementary excitations in correlated solids, this tool will play an increasingly important role investigations time-dependent phenomena photo-excited systems. While theoretical frameworks for the computation equilibrium RIXS spectra are well established, development appropriate methods nonequilibrium simulations active research field. Here, we apply a recently developed dynamical mean field theory (DMFT) based approach to compute response two-orbital Mott insulators. The results demonstrate feasibility multi-orbital calculations sensitivity quasi-elastic fluorescence-like features d-d excitation peaks on population Hubbard bands.

Mott transitions in two-orbital Hubbard systems
We investigate the Mott transitions in two-orbital Hubbard systems. Applying the dynamical mean field theory and the self-energy functional approach, we discuss the stability of itinerant quasi-particle states in each band. It is shown that separate Mott transitions occur at different Coulomb interaction strengths in general. On the other hand, if some special conditions are satisfied for the i...
متن کاملExotic Attractors of the Nonequilibrium Rabi-Hubbard Model.
We explore the phase diagram of the dissipative Rabi-Hubbard model, as could be realized by a Raman-pumping scheme applied to a coupled cavity array. There exist various exotic attractors, including ferroelectric, antiferroelectric, and incommensurate fixed points, as well as regions of persistent oscillations. Many of these features can be understood analytically by truncating to the two lowes...
متن کاملNonthermal antiferromagnetic order and nonequilibrium criticality in the Hubbard model.
We study dynamical phase transitions from antiferromagnetic to paramagnetic states driven by an interaction quench in the fermionic Hubbard model using the nonequilibrium dynamical mean-field theory. We identify two dynamical transition points where the relaxation behavior qualitatively changes: one corresponds to the thermal phase transition at which the order parameter decays critically slowl...

متن کاملLDA + DMFT Investigation of NiO
Introduction 1 INTRODUCTION From a microscopic ab-initio point of view, a solid material is an interacting many-particle system involving both ions and electrons. However, according to the Born-Oppenheimer approximation (Born and Oppenheimer, 1927), the ions and electrons can be treated separately. Indeed, many properties of solids can be well described by the electronic degree of freedom, whil...
